Wahab Riaz Life history, his records & achievements which made Pakistan victorious in various situation will be discussed in this article. He frequentyl bowls at an speed of 140 Km/h to 154Km/h.



Wahab Riaz Life History

Wahab Riaz was born on 28 June, 1985. He was first chosen for the tri series held in Bangaldesh. He bowled supert figures by getting 3 wickets for 22 runs in 7 overs. He did not get much success in next game against India as he conceeded 85 runs for 2 wickets.  Wahab made his test debut against England in 2010. He took 5 wickets for 63 runs & scored 27 runs in first inning. He bat at number 3. Wahab was selected for the series against South Africa where he took 2 wickets in first test match. He was injured in that test match & was advised to rest for 4-5 weeks in order to recover that injury. Wahab replaced Shoaib Akhtar in World Cup 2011 Semi final where under pressure game, he took 5 wickets. Wahab was selected for series against West Indies where he took 7 wickets in 4 matches & remained highest wicket taker for Pakistan.

Wahab aggressive bowling spell came against Australia in World Cup 2015 Quarter final where he bowled supert figures. He gave aggressive spell against Australia & Watson. He was appreciated by Micale Clarke, Kevin Pieterson & they described this to be the best spell bowled by any foreigner on Australian pitches. Though Pakistan had lost that match yet Wahab Riaz become trend on Twitter & many legends appreciated his spell. In PSL, he presented Peshawar Zalmi where he took 10 wickets in 7 matches & made his team to playoffs.



Wahab Riaz Records & Achievements

  • Wahab Riaz took 5 wickets against India in 2011 World Cup semi final which is a brilliant achievement for him.
  • Wahab bowled brilliant spell against Australia in World Cup 2015. His spell was appreciated by many cricket legends.
  • Wahab got man of the match award in Test against England in 2015/2016 season. He got 5 wickets in that Test match. Pakistan got victory by 178 runs.
  • Wahab got man of the match award against Zimbabwe in 2015 ODI series where he showed some brilliant performance with bat & ball. He scored 54 of 46 balls & also took 4 wickets for 45 runs in 9.5 overs.
