Umar Akmal life history is full of various records. His journey from U19 cricket team to Pakistan international team contain several outclass performances which made Pakistan victorious. He holds the record for strucking hundred on his test & ODI debut.



Umar Akmal Life history

Umar Akmal was born on 26 May, 1990. He represented Pakistan U19 team in 2009 World after giving a great performance in Quaid-e-Azam Trohpy. His batting style was aggressive from the very begginning. While playing for Pakistan A side against Australia A in 2009, he gave great performance by securing two centuries in two test matches. He scored century of just 68 balls during the ODI series against Australia A. These records made him to play for Pakistan International team.

He played his first test match against New Zealand in 2009 where he struck 129 of just 160 balls which made him the second Pakistani player to hit century on debut after Fawad Alam. He also scored hundred in his debut ODI match against Sri-lanka.  Umar akmal had a great tour to New Zealand where he scored 400 runs with an average of 57.14. In one interview, he said that his dream is to play for Pakistan International team with his brother Kamran Akmal. He was selected for these ODI series against Sri-lanka where he scored hundred. He got the record for achieving hundred in Test and ODI on debut.

Umar Akmal was selected as a wicketkeeper against England in 2012. He was dropped from ODI series against Sri-lanka but was selected in T20. He made his selection true by hitting 46 runs just of 24 balls.

Umar Akmal records & Achievements

Umar Akmal has got the record of strucking hundred on his debut test & ODI. Many times through crucial situations, he made Pakistan team victorious with his aggressive batting style. He scored 102 against Sri-lanka in 2009 on his debut. His second century came in 2014, where he scored 102 against Afghanistan. He got Man of the series award in 2012 against Bangladesh, where he scored 123 runs with an average of 41. He also got MAn of the match award in ODI & T20. Umar akmal remain the top scorer in 2016 PSL. He scored 335 runs in 7 innings.
