Shoaib Malik early life history
Shoaib Malik was born on 1st of February, 1982. He started playing cricket in streets with Tape ball. He started his professional career in 1993/1994 by attending Imran Khan coaching academy in his home town sialkot. He had faced several issues with his family for playing cricket who wanted him to continue his study. During trials in 1996 for U-15 World Cup, he was selected as a bowler. During 2001, the bowling action of Shoaib malik was inspected & he was encouraged to keep working on his off-spin. He also suffered a fracture in his shoulder during a match against England in 2001.
His performance made him to represent Gloucestershire cricket club where he replaced Ian Harvey. Shoaib Malik was appreciated by the club director. He performed well during that championship which resulted in renewing of his contract for 2004 season. Gloucestershire head coach admired Malik by passing the comment that he did very well for us in the last season and fitted well in a very short span of time. He said that we are pleased to have him in our squad & he will improve too. He played 8 first class matches and scored 214 runs with an average of 17. He also took 15 wickets with an average of 45.
In 2004, he was reported to ICC for his bowling action inspection which was later on declared clear. He was given a one-test match ban for allegation of losing match against Karachi to knock out Lahore. He was representing Sialkot Stallion at that time. Whatever he did was not a match fixing but an immature approach to present his disappointment. Malik has got record for batting at every position except 11th. He represented Pakistan as an opener at that time when Pakistan was failing to find a reliable opener batsman. He played several outstanding knocks that helped Pakistan to secure the victory. He suffered during his initial One day tours to England. During 4 tours, he just scored 98 runs with an average of above 20
History as a Pakistan Cricket Team Captain
When Inzaman-ul-Haq resigned as Pakistan captain after the World cup of 2007, Shoaib Malik, Younis Khan, & Muhammad Yousuf names were forwarded for the next captain. At that time, Younis Khan put forward his rejection from being Pakistan captain which made Malik strong candidate for the team captain as all players wanted a fresh youngster to be the captain and mentor. Bob Woolmer, who was coach at that time was also in the favor of Malik as Captain. He declared Malik as sharpest players among others at that time. Imran khan also provided his support for Malik captaincy as he wanted a good cricketer to be turn out to be a good captain for Green team.
Under the captaincy of Malik, Pakistan had won the first ODI series against srilanka by 2-1. Next target was to play against South Africa .Pakistan lost 1-0 & 3-0 in test and ODI respectively. Pakistan won against India by 3-2 which was a great victory. Malik played a captain knock of 89 runs & took 3 wickets in the 5th ODI to secure 31 runs victory against India. His captaincy does not remain for a long time. The coach & manager criticized Malik leadership by claiming that he is not creating communication environment with other team mates. After losing against Sri-lanka in 2009, Malik step down and Younis Khan was appointed as new captain. Shoaib Malik was charged for infighting with team players & was one year cricket ban by PCB. He was called by Lancashire cricket club to play T20 cup. Later on, he was called back & his name was added in Asia Cup squad.

Shoaib malik life history is full of different achievements and records. He had presented Sialkot Stallion as a captain. Under his captaincy, Sialkot Stallion had won 8 T20 titles.
Player of the Series award
Shoaib Malik has received player of the series award for three times. The first one came in 2003 in Bank Alfalah Cup where Pakistan was playing series with New Zealand. He achieved this award in 2007 & 2015 playing against Zimbabwe. Pakistan had won those series
Main of the Match awards
Malik achieved this award for 16 times. First time he got this award was in 2002 when Pakistan was taking on against West Indies in Sharjah. Amazing thing is that Malik got this award 5 times against India which shows his consistency against Indian team. The last time he got this award was against Zimbabwe in 2015 where he scored 112 runs of 76 balls. He struck 12 fours & two sixes. Pakistan had won that match by 41 runs.
T20 International Cricket records
Malik remained consistent in T20 format. He got man of the match award for three times. The first one came was in 2008 while playing against England. The last one was in 2016 against UAE where he scored 63 of 49 balls. He struck 7 fours & 3 sixes. Pakistan won that match by 7 wickets. He got man of the series award two times in T20 format. First one came was in 2007 against Kenya. Last time he got this award was last year against Sri-lanka where he scored 54 runs with an average of 54 & strike rate of 125.58. His bowling figures were also appreciable. He bowled 4 overs, gave 25 runs & secure three wickets. Pakistan had won that series by 2-0.
