Akshay Kumar is an Indian born Canadian actor, producer, & television personality who has span more than twenty five years in Bollywood industry and has done more than hundred films.  Akshay has been listed as most successful actor in the history of Indian cinema by Box office. Akshay has established himself as a leading contemporary actor of Hindi cinema. Akshay Kumar Early Life History and Education

Starting with early life history, Akshay was born on 9 September, 1967 in Amritsar to Hari Om Bhatia and Aruna Bhatia. From the very his young age, Akshay was a performer specially a dancer. He started his early school education from Don Bosco School. He was then enrolled in Guru Nanak Khalsa College Mumbai for higher education but was dropped out after a year. Akshay went to Bangkok for learning martial arts. In his teenager, when his father asked him what he wants to become in his life and his expressed that he want to be an actor. Akshay learned martial arts in Bangkok Thailand where he learned “Muay Thai” & also worked as a chef and waiter. When he get back to India, he started teaching martial arts. One of his student suggested Akshay to work in modeling. Kumar made more money in the first two days as comparison to his monthly salary.

Akshay Kumar Acting Career

Kumar played a supporting role in the film “Dil To Pagal Hai” (1997) co-starring Shah Rukh Khan for which he received the nomination to be Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award. In the same year, he worked in the fifth installment of Khiladi series which failed commercially. 2007 remained the most successful year for Kumar acting career. His first film “Namastey London” got a big commercial success & his performance earned him best actor nomination at the Filmfare. In the upcoming years, several his films like Rowdy Rathore, Khiladi 786, Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai got much success. Akshay perform different roles in different films but the most famous role is being a comedian.

Akshay Kumar has won the National Film award for the best actor in 2016 for his acting in Rustom movie. He has been nominated for Filmfare awards several time and he won it two times.   • In 2009, Akshay got Padmi Shri “Indian Fourth Highest Civilian Award” from the Government of India.

  • In 2017, Akshay got national award for best actor for his film “Rustom”.

  • In 2008, Akshay got honorary doctorate degree from University of Windsor, Canada for his excellence contribution to film industry & social work.
